The South African Students Congress (SASCO) will be holding a variety of Nelson Mandela Day activities in honor of struggle Icon and Father of the Nation, Tata Nelson Mandela on the 18th of July 2014.
The various activities that will be held will also be part of the organisation's Make Winter Warm Campaign, which aims to bring hope and light in identified struggling communities across the country. The organization has instructed all its provinces to go clean in various children's shelters throughout the country and also donate a variety of necessities that will assist in making life bearable for the children of our land, who are the future of this country.
The NEC of SASCO, together with the PTT of Gauteng, REC of Johannesburg and branches of the organization within the Johannesburg area will go to Cotlands Shelter in Turffontein, Johannesburg from 09h00 to 12h00 to spend time with the children and also clean the place in honor of Tata Nelson Mandela. A variety of necessities for children in the shelter will also be donated by the organization.
Members of the media are invited to come cover and also participate in this important event. Interested members of the organization and society at large are also invited to join the SASCO President, Ntuthuko Makhombothi and the leadership collective in this important activity.
